The Admissions Committee will review any new applications throughout the school year if spots are available. Decisions will be announced by the committee once the application process is complete. If your child is being considered for enrollment, they must successfully pass pre-admission requirements or tests administered by Tooba Academy before they can be accepted.
Admission Criteria:
Students at Tooba Academy will be expected to achieve academically to the best of their individual abilities. No child, whose parents desire to enroll him/her in Tooba Academy, shall be denied admission to the school on the basis of religious affiliation, race, color, gender, or national origin.
The Admissions Committee of the school reviews all applications. The Admissions Committee, in determining the enrollment priority of the students, will examine the following criteria:
Preschool:
Must be 3 years of age by September 30th for the 3-year-old class
Must be 4 years of age by September 30th for the 4-year-old class
Must be potty trained
Children of staff members and siblings of current students will receive priority enrollment
Interview with the Pre-K Director
Kindergarten:
Must be 5 years of age by September 30th, no exceptions.
Must have an acceptable level of English communication skills.
The academic level must meet the expectations of the current grade-level curriculum.
Children of staff members, siblings of current students, and Tooba Academy Pre-K students will receive priority enrollment.
Reading and Math Exam: Must successfully complete an in-person pre-admission reading and math exam administered by Tooba Academy with scores that meet Tooba Academy standards for admission.
1st Grade through 8th Grade:
Must have an acceptable level of English communication skills.
The academic level must meet the expectations of the current grade-level curriculum.
Must not have had any pattern of disciplinary problems at other schools.
Children of staff members and siblings of current students will receive priority enrollment.
Reading and Math Exam: Must successfully complete an in-person pre-admission reading and math exam administered by Tooba Academy with scores that meet Tooba Academy standards for admission.
